Il kit REALQUALITY RQ-STI CT/NG/MG è un dispositivo diagnostico CE-IVD per l’identificazione qualitativa del DNA di Chlamydia trachomatis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae e Mycoplasma genitalium mediante PCR Real time.

Product Characteristics

• The device is validated on DNA extracted from various samples types;
• The assay requires only 5 µL of DNA extracted;
• The assay is validated for DNA extracted with GENEQUALITY® Lysis Buffer SW (04-X18) and GENEQUALITY® X120 Pathogen Kit;
• The assay shares the same thermal profile of the REALQUALITY Infectious diseases kits and of the REALQUALITY HPV kits;
• Validated on main Real-Time PCR instruments;
• The assay includes dUTP/UNG system for preventing carry-over contamination and a fluorescence normalizer;

Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) include a large group of infectious diseases. Every year the WHO estimates the onset of millions of new cases (http://www.who.int/), 357 million related to at least 1 of the following 4 pathogens: Chlamydia trachomatis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Treponema pallidum and Trichomonas vaginalis.

About thirty different STIs are known, caused by over twenty types of microorganisms including bacteria, viruses, protozoa and parasites. If not diagnosed in time and treated properly, these diseases can lead to serious complications affecting the female and male reproductive system (infertility, abortions, ectopic pregnancies, urethral strictures, tumours, etc).
